STEP ONE:
Gather your gear
To open your new Capra Bank account, you’ll need a few essentials—just like preparing for any great adventure.
What to Bring:
A government-issued photo ID (including IDs for spouses or dependents on your account)
Social Security Number (including SSNs for any joint account holders)
Your email address
A phone number where you can be reached
Your current home address
STEP TWO:
Start your route
Make the switch smooth by organizing your automatic transactions and direct deposits.
What to collect:
Your last 2–3 months of bank statements
A list of quarterly, annual, or irregular ACH payments
Update incoming deposits:
Complete and submit new direct deposit forms to your employer
Notify HR or payroll, as needed
Update any additional sources of income
Be sure to include:
Employer paychecks and any other recurring income
Social Security or government benefits
Investment or retirement distributions

How to update each one:
Log in to each provider’s site
Enter your new Capra Bank routing and account numbers
Update any stored debit card details, if applicable
Confirm that each change has been processed
During the transition:
Keep enough funds in your old account to cover pending payments
Monitor for missed drafts or deposits
Ensure all updates are successful before fully switching over
Finalize the move:
Cancel any old bill pay services
Close your old bank account (after 1–2 months of monitoring)
Destroy any old checks and debit cards

With over 18 years of experience in the banking industry, Michelle works closely with clients discussing their financial situation and finding products and services to fit their specific needs. Michelle stays busy in the community as a Dubuque Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. She resides in Bellevue, Iowa, with her husband Kevin, and enjoys spending quality time with family. Their spare time is often filled with camping trips and driving their UTV.
Ariel Herman has over seven years of banking experience helping consumers and businesses with their banking needs. She is passionate about banking as she enjoys helping customers find solutions to achieve their financial goals through technology, products, and exceptional service. Ariel resides in Dubuque, with her husband and their two children.
Born and raised in the tri-state area, Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin – Platteville. Following graduation, she began her professional career as a talent acquisition specialist. Hannah is excited to start her journey into the rewarding world of banking at Capra Bank! Over the last four years, Hannah has volunteered at various organizations in Dubuque that work with individuals with disabilities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and skiing.
Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Grant started his banking career as a part-time teller. As a natural leader, Grant has transitioned through various roles including universal banker, relationship banker, senior operations, branch manager for multiple branches, and now leading Capra retail for the NM market.
Outside of work, Grant volunteers his time at his church supporting the special events team, loves spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, camping, working on cars, and woodworking/carpentry. He is a loving father of 2 young kids and happily married to his wife, Jordan.
Here’s a customer favorite! Lindsey is a long-time resident of Lubbock who began her banking career in 2009. She has held positions as teller, retail banker, and lending assistant and worked her way up to Assistant Vice President at Capra Bank. Lindsey’s varied experience in banking makes her the “Swiss army knife” of Capra Bank with the ability to service our customers expertly with both their business and personal banking needs.
When she’s not being a fantastic banker and co-worker, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her husband, stepson, and daughter who is a sassy, little cheerleader in the making.
Peyton graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s of Business Administration. Peyton’s banking experience, education, and incredible customer service skills make her a perfect fit for the Capra Bank team. When she’s not at the bank elevating the definition of customer service, Peyton enjoys spending free time with her husband Ty and sweet baby son.
Laura, who was born and raised in Lubbock, began her banking career in 2018. Laura has spent time as a teller, personal banker, consumer lender, and manager. She enjoys helping customers find the right solution for their individual needs and providing exceptional customer service. Outside of work, she is a dedicated volunteer with the Slaton FFA. In her free time Laura enjoys spending time with her 9-month-old son and husband as well as crafting and golf.
